三人のアーティスト、三つの異なる伝統、そして一つの共通する即興の場。
ポーランド出身のクラリネット奏者であり作曲家、マルチインストゥルメンタリストのヴァツワフ・ジンペルは、
クラシック音楽をキャリアの出発点としつつ、ジャズや即興演奏に深い情熱を注ぎ、クラリネットを通して独自の音楽世界を切り拓いてきました。
彼が出会うのは、伝統的な箏の世界とラディカルな即興演奏を融合させる名手 八木美知依、
そして日本のカルト的存在であるバンド goat に参加し、催眠的なリズムの精密さとロック・イディオムの解体で知られる アキオ・ジェイマス（ドラムス）。
三者の共演においては、ミニマリズムが表現力と出会い、伝統がアヴァンギャルドと交差します。
日本の箏が織りなす独特の音色と、クラリネットの深い共鳴が、
数学的でありながら有機的なドラムの脈動と絡み合い、唯一無二のサウンドを創り上げます。
この音楽は決して一つのカテゴリーに収まることはありません。
瞑想とトランス的緊張感、静寂と音の爆発とのあいだを自在に行き来します。
吉祥寺 STAR PINE'S CAFE でのこのコンサートは、その瞬間に立ち現れる、
三人の強烈な個性による対話が、ここでしか味わえない体験を生み出します。
本公演は、ヴァツワフ・ジンペルの来日を機に開催され、
同時に彼が小池博史演出の「HINOTORI: Phoenix of Mountain / Phoenix of Sea」にも参加することに関連しています。

Waclaw Zimpel × Michiyo Yagi × Akio Jeimus: Poland-Japan-Dimensions] on October 15th, 2025, at 19:30, at STAR PINE'S CAFE, Kichijoji, Tokyo!
Three artists, three distinct traditions, and a single shared space of improvisation.
Polish clarinetist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Wacław Zimpel began his career in classical music but has since devoted himself to jazz and improvisation, forging a unique musical world through his clarinet.
Joining him are Michiyo Yagi, a virtuoso who fuses the traditional world of the koto with radical improvisation, and Akio Jeimus on drums, known in Japan as a cult figure from the band Goat (jp), renowned for hypnotic rhythmic precision and the deconstruction of rock idioms.
In this collaboration, minimalism meets expressiveness, and tradition intersects with the avant-garde. The distinctive timbre of the Japanese koto intertwines with the rich resonance of the clarinet, weaving together with mathematically precise yet organic drum patterns to create a singular, one-of-a-kind sound.
This music defies categorization. It freely moves between meditation and trance-like tension, between silence and sonic explosion.
At Kichijoji STAR PINE’S CAFE, the dialogue between these three powerful personalities creates an experience that can only be felt live.
